Membership credits

What are credits?

GV Fitness Centre uses two kinds of credits, class credits which are used to book into classes and entry credits that are used for access to the gym. Credits that are obtained through a specific membership renew every week, at which point, any unused credits are lost.

How do I get credits?

This depends on your membership:

  • Pay as you go members don’t automatically get any credits but they can pay to access both the gym and classes at reception
  • Gym only members get an unlimited number of entry credits which mean you can access the gym as often as you like either within off-peak periods or at any time depending on the kind of membership you select. Gym only members don’t get any class credits but can add them on an as and when required basis for a small additional fee so that they are able to attend the occasional class.
  • Gym and class members receive an unlimited number of entry credits just like gym only members but additionally, they get five class credits to use each week. If five isn’t sufficient for the number of classes they want to attend, additional credits can be bought at reception when required for a modest fee.
  • Class only members get seven class credits to use each week. If 7 class isn’t sufficient for the number of classes they want to attend, again additional credits can be bought at reception when required for a modest fee. Class only members can also buy entry credits to permit them to use the gym on an as and when basis.
How many credits do I need?

For gym users one visit equals one entry credit, however, memberships that include use of the gym typically receive unlimited entry credits. For classes, the number of credits required will vary with the length, popularity and nature of the class. For example, an intensive 30 minute HIIT class is likely to have a cost of 1 class credit whereas a 45-minute ‘Legs Tums and Bums’ class would cost two class credits and a two hour Bootcamp might cost three or more class credits.

What if my membership doesn’t give me enough credits?

Additional class and entry credits will always be available to purchase by members at well below the equivalent Pay as you go fee. This ensures that you can tailor your membership to perfectly fit your requirements.

How can I tell how many credits I have left?

All members will be able to access their membership details including credits online via our online member portal or through our Android or iOS app.
